What is the Instafix QC App?
The Instafix QC app is used to run hardware diagnostic checks on your iPhone before and after repair. Each test is recorded and saved to your account so you can refer back to them or raise a warranty claim if a repaired component stops working.
Common Questions
Why does the app ask for so many permissions? Each permission directly corresponds to a hardware component being tested. For example, camera access tests your lens and image sensor, microphone access tests your speaker and audio hardware, and so on. No data is used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Where is my diagnostic report saved? All reports are saved securely to your Instafix account. Log in anytime to view your pre- and post-repair diagnostic history.
How do I raise a warranty claim? Contact your nearest Instafix service centre and quote your registered phone number or email. Our team will pull up your diagnostic report on file.
I can't log in to the app. Make sure you're using the phone number or email registered at the time of your repair. If you've changed your number, contact us directly and we'll update your account.
A hardware test is failing but my phone seems fine. Some tests require specific conditions : for example, the GPS test works best outdoors, and the Bluetooth test requires Bluetooth to be turned on in Settings. If a test continues to fail, contact us and we'll assist you in-store.
How long is my diagnostic data kept? Your diagnostic reports, images, and recordings are retained for the duration of your Instafix warranty period. After that, data is permanently deleted from our servers.
